When My Niece Had Skin Cancer

One of the tormenting experiences you face is when your dear one, a child just over a year old, has Skin Cancer.
The doctor accidentally, while vaccinating, punctured the cancer spot, which then began to spread.
She nearly died in another six months, when a local treatment succeeded, and she lived through the disease.
But one of her legs became shorter than the other which is the only indicator that she had the deadly disease.
The effect of skin cancer can be terrible and the reason could be anything from exposure to solar radiation (
UV rays ), immunity problems, chemicals, x-rays, etc.
People with fair skin, face the greatest risk due to lack of
melanin pigment in their skin.
Swelling or bleeding without any obvious reason on the skin can be cancer and must be diagnosed at the earliest.
Without treatment, it grows in size and threatens the affected person’s life.
The treatment for cancer is surgery followed by radiation. The skin area affected by cancer is removed and then electro-surgery and then chemotherapy treatment is given.
After Chemotherapy, the person loses his hair and the inhaled drugs affect his physical health to a greater extent.
“Prevention is better than cure” when skin cancer is concerned. Always wear
sun protective clothing, UV sunglasses and cover your head with a
sun protection hat, when you are exposed to longer durations in the sun.
If it is not feasible to wear sun protective clothing, use a simple UV
Sun Protection Umbrella to protect your skin from the almost terminal disease, cancer.
