Rash Guards
Great Sun Block

When you think of rash guards you probably think of a thick, waterproof garment that prevents scrapes and cuts when surfing or participating in other vigorous water activities.
However, the main reason I would wear a
rash guard is for
sun protection.
When on vacation in Florida several years ago, my family and I all received short-sleeved rash guards through the resort we were staying at.
The next day although we tried to
wear sunscreen, being on the beach the entire day and the ocean water wore it off early enough in the day that we all got a bad
sunburn, except for under our rash guards.
Underneath the shirts, our skin was completely untouched, and perfectly healthy.
Rash guards are comfortable, durable, and great for active swimmers because rash guards eliminate the worry of other swimming garments coming loose and falling off.
They also block harmful
UV rays and save our skin from the sun. So not only do they prevent scrapes and cuts, but also sunburn.
