We've "come a long way, baby" since my teen years when we put oil on our skin and baked in the sun for hours.
As an outdoor enthusiast I always remember to apply a sunblock daily now, even during the winter months.
I knew someone who had
malignant melanoma, and another who had a large
skin cancer on the face.
So that made me very conscious of needing protection for my fair complexion.
I'm pleased that now we are warned about such occurrences and my family members are taking the warnings very seriously.
